A visit to the caves
This is the most desired visit by most people who come to get to know Porto Cristo. The visit is well justified when considering it's about contemplating the unique, capricious and natural beauty which the stalagmites and stalactites have to offer.
In Porto Cristo we are fortunate to have two caves of which the dimensions and characteristics of both permit us to take a spectacular trip. A trip that, wherever we might come from, does not have any similarity to the scenery we are used to.
The "Coves del Drach", situated on the "Careetera de les Coves" cover 1,700 meters. Its stalactites are big in dimension and have irregular forms and many, through out the passing of time have developed on a whim "peculiar shapes", At present the tourist trip is approximately one kilometre and every day classical music concerts take place in the space known as the "llac Martel" (Martel's lake)

The "Coves del Hams" are situated on the Manacor -Porto Cristo road, at the 11th kilometre. These caves are famous for their particular tree like forms and underground lake, where a concert-show is offered
As well as the visit to the caves, in both cases the sites also are home to pine woods and gardens, which are highly suitable for outdoor picnics
